Rob Scichili

Rob Scichili (shick-lee) has worked in pro sports communications and publicity for over 25 years. A veteran of 17 seasons in the NHL, he spent 10 years (2002-2012) leading the communications department of the Dallas Stars, including all publicity, media relations, publications and Internet content & services. Scichili was a primary member of the Stars’ creative team in all areas of promotion, public relations, marketing and game entertainment.

Scichili also worked with the Anaheim Ducks (1993-2000), helping the business staff build an expansion franchise from the ground-up, all under the umbrella of The Walt Disney Company. He oversaw the Ducks’ PR efforts his last three seasons in Anaheim, and assisted the company in the transition of the California Angels’ merge with Disney Sports in 1996.

A Dallas native, Scichili currently serves on the board of directors of the Mike Modano Foundation and assists Modano in all areas of personal public relations and media. He is co-owner of ScoreBoardTx Digital Magazine and contributes to the several other sports publications.

Scichili began his career in basketball communications, breaking in with the Dallas Mavericks in 1990 and joining the Minnesota Timberwolves in 1992. He’s worked with as a marketing producer & writer for and Scichili has also worked in football (College Football Playoff), college basketball (Final Four), golf (Byron Nelson Classic), tennis (1992 Davis Cup, Dallas Tennis Classic), cycling (Collin Classic), and soccer (Dallas Sidekicks).

A 1990 graduate of Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism, Scichili resides in Dallas with his wife Robin, their daughter Hadley and son Bobby.
